Kalyani Nagar Pune
Kalyani Nagar is located in the North-Eastern side of Pune. Though technically it cannot be termed as a "Suburb", Kalyani Nagar and the neighboring areas like Yerawada, Koregaon Park and Kharadi can be considered as the Suburbs of Pune. Kalyani Nagar has a unique blend of many communities. It is named after Neelkanth Kalyani, one of the city's foremost industrialists who pioneered the Kalyani Forging company in the early 1960's. The neighboring areas (Suburbs) of Kalyani Nagar are Yerawada, Koregaon Park, Viman Nagar, Wadgaon Sheri, Kharadi and Mundhwa. Compared to other areas (Suburbs) in the city development in Kalyani Nagar is quite recent.
Schools like The Bishops and E.N. Nagarwala IT Parks like The Cerebrum, Niyati IT Park and Companies like HSBC GLT, Cybage, Mphasis, Source One, Mastek, PTC, Ventura are housed in Kalyani Nagar. The river beautification project is taking shape here. Kalyani Nagar also has a Joggers park so those interested in jogging and morning walk can make use of this park. Kalyani Nagar is buzzing with activities and has Malls/Entertainment centers like Mariplex, LifeStyles and has some of the best restaurants. Shopping Centers and Retail stores like the BIG Baazar, Reliance Fresh, More, Spencer’s Daily and banks like ICICI and State Bank of India, The Punjab National Bank are located here. Kalyani Nagar is conveniently located approximately 4 km from Pune Airport and about 5-6 km from the city's main Railway Station and the Bus Stand.
Kalyani Nagar has three main roads, the West avenue, the East Avenue and the Central Avenue. The West and the East Avenue meet the Nagar Road (Nagar Highway Highway NH-27).
